[周刊王CTWANT] 沒想到Apple Watch也能救命！近日美國一位12歲女孩，因為Apple Watch找回健康，因為她的手錶提醒她心律異常，媽媽帶女兒去醫院才發現是罹患癌症。

據《HOUR Detroit Magazine》報導，有天女孩麥爾絲（Imani Miles）的Apple Watch一直在嗶嗶叫，媽媽潔西卡（Jessica Kitchen）發現手錶提醒麥爾絲，她的心率很高。潔西卡說，「這真的很奇怪，因為以前從未發生過，手錶一直在閃爍。」

潔西卡帶女兒去醫院檢查後，醫師發現他罹患闌尾炎，切除後她的闌尾還有一顆有神經內分泌腫瘤，這腫瘤在兒童中很少見，而癌細胞已經擴散到身體其他部位，她需要另外接受手術。手術結束後，潔西卡表示，如果手錶都沒有再響起，她會在幾天內帶女兒回家。

據了解，可穿戴技術在2019年的商機已達10億美元（約新台幣3220億元），專家表示，可穿戴設備不是一種奇蹟，但透過人類的努力，她可以提升人類的幸福感。潔西卡說，如果女兒沒有Apple Watch，情況可能更糟。

衛生福利部南投醫院曾在衛教文章中指出，急性闌尾炎為常見外科急症，成因為闌尾管腔被異物或淋巴組織阻塞導致發炎，一般好發於青年。若中、老年患者，需考慮是否為右半結腸癌症所併發闌尾炎。其中闌尾癌無論在早期症狀、理學檢查甚至影像檢查與闌尾炎很難在術前作區別，唯有靠術後病理報告才能得知。

若為闌尾癌症，必須與醫師討論闌尾切除手術是否足夠，或需做到右半結腸切除手術及後續的輔助化學治療。

另外也建議中、老年患者於闌尾切除手術1至2個月後，接受全大腸鏡檢查，排除因大腸癌導致腸腔阻塞引發的闌尾炎。
